It’s the morning of April 1, and Gary greets his friend Alice with a wide grin.
G: Good morning, Alice! I’ve got a small gift for you.
A: A gift? What’s the occasion?
G: Nothing special. I just feel lucky to have an amazing friend like you.
A: Wow! That’s so sweet of you. Where’s my gift?
G: Here you are. It’s a pack of cookies.
A: Uh, thanks, but it looks like it’s been opened.
G: Oh, yeah. Sorry about that. I got hungry on the way here.
A: Oh, well. It’s the thought that counts. Thank you very much, Gary.
