　　The Olympics are an international athletic competition designed to spread peace and friendship around the world. An important part of the opening ceremonies is the lighting of the Olympic flame and the torch relay. The tradition of the Olympic flame dates back thousands of years to ancient Greece. The ancient Greeks considered fire a pure and sacred element that helped humans evolve. In modern days, the Olympic flame is lit through an ancient method with the light of the sun in Olympia, Greece.

　　奧運會是一項國際體育賽事，旨在世界各地散播和平與友誼。開幕典禮的其中重要一環是奧運聖火的點燃與火炬傳遞。奧林匹克聖火的傳統可追溯至數千年前的古希臘。古希臘人認為火是一種純淨又神聖的元素，可以幫助人類進化。在今日，奧林匹克聖火在希臘奧林匹亞透過古老的方法使用陽光點燃。
