Owls can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Some owls live in trees, while others make their homes on the ground. Owls are generally known for their nocturnal activity, but there are a few species that come out during the day. Owls are extremely quiet when they fly. Even large owls like barn owls are almost silent when they move their wings. Owls’ feathers are generally larger than those of other birds and feature smooth edges.

除了南極洲之外，每個洲都可以找到貓頭鷹。有些貓頭鷹生活在樹上，而有些貓頭鷹則在地面上築巢安家。貓頭鷹通常以其夜間活動而聞名，但也有少數種類在白天活動。貓頭鷹飛行時非常安靜。即使是像西倉鴞這樣的大型貓頭鷹，在舞動翅膀時也幾乎是無聲的。貓頭鷹的羽毛通常比其他鳥類的大且邊緣光滑。
