For a lot of people, cloudy skies bring sadness, anger, and depression. Many people’s social media posts take on an angry tone on days when it rains constantly. Is there any way to change this? Tecsia Evans, a clinical psychologist from the US, says that instead of turning off the lights and staying inside, people should leave the lights on because this increases serotonin, a chemical in the body that is key to feeling good.
