Taiwan is one of the best places on the planet to observe fireflies. With the largest population of fireflies in Asia and over 65 species, there are numerous beautiful spots to find them. In northern Taiwan, Yangmingshan National Park is full of great mountain views that feature fireflies between April and May. Trails around Keelung and Taoyuan’s Fuxing District are also great spots to find high concentrations of fireflies in spring.
