Imagine smiling and catching the light with bling on your teeth. That is the effect of grills. Grills are removable metal covers that are used to decorate teeth. They are popular today in the worlds of fashion and music, but their story began long ago. Thousands of years ago in ancient Italy, Etruscan women removed their front teeth and fitted a gold band to hold replacement teeth. They might have done this to show off their wealth and high position in society.
