1. 由於短影音的普及，許多人已經對較長的影片失去耐心。

可譯為：Due to the popularity of short videos, many people have lost patience with longer ones.

譯題密技：

 due to...　　因為∕由於……

 due to... 為用來說明「原因」的片語介詞，後面接名詞或動名詞，使用時可置於句首或主要子句後面，放在句首時要用逗號與主要子句隔開。
字詞加油站：

 a. popularity　n. 普及

 b. lose patience with...　　對……失去耐性

  patience　n. 耐心

2. 因此，他們看長影片時會忍不住加快影片的速度。

可譯為：Consequently, they can’t help but speed up long videos when watching them.

譯題密技：

 can’t / cannot (help) but V　　不禁∕忍不住……

 此處的 help 表「抗拒」而非「幫助」，且 help 可省略。也可省略 but，形成 can’t help + V-ing 的用法。

 b. speed up... / speed... up　　加快……的速度
