Restaurants may assume that having a good chef to ensure food quality will lead customers to share photos of their dishes on social media. These photos will, in turn, be good for business. In truth, chefs and food stylists have very different goals. Chefs and food stylists are both aware of food presentation. However, chefs focus on the taste of the food that they prepare. When food stylists are working, they don’t have to think about how the food tastes.
