On the surface, rock, paper, scissors appears to be a simple game of luck. However, a study shows that people can actually increase their chances of winning by employing some psychological strategies. First, use the “win-stay, lose-shift” principle to predict your opponents’ next move. If they play paper and win, they are likely to repeat the action in the next round. On the other hand, if they throw rock and lose, they will probably move to the next action in the sequence, which means they are going to play paper.
