Some people often mistake contrails for chemical trails, or chemtrails. People have even claimed that the trails left behind by planes contain chemicals purposely released into the atmosphere. Some believe that governments are spraying chemicals for various purposes, such as to change the weather or to control the population with drugs. However, these conspiracy theories lack proof. After looking into these claims, scientists have stepped forward to dismiss them.
