Just like the main island of Taiwan, Turtle Island is a place where the mountains meet the ocean. One of the biggest attractions on Turtle Island is the Milk Sea. It is a distinct area of turquoise water near the “turtle’s head.” It is the result of hot spring water rising from the seabed and mixing with the dark-blue seawater. There are also whale-watching tours around the island. On the tour, visitors have the opportunity to spot various dolphin and whale species.
