Those who are good at communicating with people and are interested in customer service can consider becoming a concierge. Many concierge positions only require a high school diploma, but a degree in tourism or hotel management can be helpful. Hotels usually want applicants with several years of work experience in the hotel industry. This is because many of the skills that a good concierge need are learned through on-the-job training. Concierges must also be familiar with the area they work in.
