Peggy is telling her friend Tom about her family’s trip to the Taipei Zoo last weekend.

P: Yeah! I particularly loved watching the meerkats dash around. They’re so cute. 

T: Did you see any big animals, like elephants or giraffes?

P: Of course! My sister really loves elephants. She was happy to see them out and about. Do you have a favorite animal?

T: Bears are cool. Polar bears are my top pick, but there aren’t any of those at the Taipei Zoo.

P: The zoo has a few other species of bears, though.

T: Oh, I know. The pandas are adorable and charming.

佩　姬： 是啊！我特別喜歡看狐獴跑來跑去。牠們太可愛了。

湯　姆： 妳有看到大象或長頸鹿等大型動物嗎？

佩　姬： 當然有啊！我姊姊非常喜歡大象。她很高興看到牠們外出走動。你有最喜歡的動物嗎？

湯　姆： 熊很酷。北極熊是我的首選，但臺北市立動物園沒有北極熊。

佩　姬： 不過，動物園裡還有一些其他種類的熊。

湯　姆： 哦，我知道。大貓熊可愛又迷人。
