Visitors and scientists have taken an interest in the juhyo for many years. The first photo of a snow monster was taken in 1921. People have always been curious about how they can see these sights because they are very impressive. However, some people are concerned that the snow monsters are not looking as good as they used to. The juhyo of the Zao Mountains require very special weather conditions to form, and climate change is beginning to have an effect on them.
